Reality TV star Kim Zolciak and her ex-husband Kroy Biermann’s lavish Alpharetta, Ga. home is facing foreclosure after being on the market for over a year. The property, listed at $3.7 million, was set to be auctioned off by Truist Bank on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The couple had initially listed the home for $6 million in October 2023 but have since reduced the price multiple times due to their ongoing divorce proceedings and allegations of frivolous spending. According to court documents, Biermann claimed Zolciak’s “frivolous spending” left them with just one remaining asset – their shared marital home.
The exes share three children together, and Zolciak also has two older daughters from a previous relationship. Biermann had requested that the court force the sale of the home for an acceptable price and remove Zolciak from any decision-making process.
As the foreclosure threat looms over their home, Zolciak’s refusal to accept offers lower than $3.85 million has raised eyebrows. The couple has been through multiple price cuts since listing the home at $6 million, with the latest reduction coming in November 2024.
The property features an impressive array of amenities, including seven bedrooms, a six-car garage, and a private wine cellar, making it one of Atlanta’s most sought-after homes. However, Zolciak’s decision to keep the asking price high despite the foreclosure threat has left many wondering if she will be able to secure her home.
