The Sacramento Kings have filled their point guard void by signing former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz to a deal, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. After five years with the Orlando Magic, Fultz was rehabbing from an injury during the offseason and received interest from multiple teams. Now healthy, he’ll join a team in desperate need of point guard help, having played Malik Monk at the position since the trade of De’Aaron Fox.
Fultz had a career year in 2022-23 with 14.0 points and 5.7 assists per game but was limited to 43 games last season due to injuries. The Kings dealt Fox to the San Antonio Spurs last week, receiving back Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, and draft picks in exchange.
