Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has praised his successor Arne Slot after the Dutch manager led the team to their 20th top-flight crown. Slot’s side beat Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield, securing the Premier League title with four games to spare.
Slot, who took over from Klopp in the summer of 2024, has enjoyed a remarkable run on Merseyside, losing just two games in the Premier League. Following their victory, Slot expressed his gratitude to Klopp, singing his name to the tune of Opus’ “Live Is Life” track during post-match celebrations.
Klopp, who managed Liverpool for nine years from 2015 to 2024, also congratulated Slot on Instagram, saying he is “super grateful for the past,” “super happy about the present,” and “extremely positive about the future.”
