Kraft Heinz CEO Steve Cahillane Meets with Berkshire’s Greg Abel

Kraft Heinz CEO Steve Cahillane recently met with Berkshire Hathaway’s new CEO, Greg Abel. This meeting came weeks after Cahillane’s 2.23% increase in value and just a few months after he asked for an introductory meeting with Abel.

Cahillane’s goal was to discuss the proposed split of Kraft Heinz into two companies. However, Berkshire had publicly opposed this idea. Despite their concerns, Cahillane believed that breaking up the company would be beneficial for shareholder returns.

Abel expressed his reservations during their meeting, stating that breaking up Kraft Heinz wouldn’t solve its existing problems. Nevertheless, Cahillane was open to exploring alternative solutions. The outcome of their discussion remains unclear at this point in time.
