Kraft Heinz is recalling over 300,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon due to potential contamination with listeria bacteria. The affected products include three sizes: 12oz vacuum-packed packages, 36oz containing three 12oz packs, and 48oz containing four 12oz packs.
The recalled bacon has “use by” dates ranging from July 18, 2025, to September 4, 2025, and lot codes “RS19,” “RS40,” or “RS42.” Consumers who have purchased these products should immediately discard them or return them to the store. Listeriosis can cause severe symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and gastrointestinal issues, especially in individuals with compromised immune systems.
Consumers are advised not to eat the recalled bacon until further notice from Kraft Heinz. Those who have purchased the affected products should check their packaging for the specified “use by” dates and lot codes.
