Kyle Larson will not participate in Saturday’s heat race at North Wilkesboro Speedway due to his commitments to the Indianapolis 500. His team, Hendrick Motorsports, has decided that it is not beneficial for them to run a different driver. This decision means Larson will start from the rear of the pack for Sunday night’s NASCAR All-Star Race. Larson previously skipped the preliminary events at North Wilkesboro last year and still finished fourth in the race. He won the 2023 All-Star Race, but his attempt was thwarted by rain last year when he also tried to compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.
