MTV has announced the nominees for the 2025 Video Music Awards, and Lady Gaga is leading the pack with nominations in 12 categories. The ceremony will take place on September 8th at the UBS Arena in New York.
Other top nominees include Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, ROSÉ, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd. Fan voting is now open for 19 categories at vote.mtv.com, with voting ending on September 5th except for the Best New Artist category, which will remain active until the show.
The full list of nominees includes top artists in multiple genres such as pop, hip-hop, R&B, and Latin music. Some notable winners include Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd.
Some of the standout categories this year include Best Pop Artist, Best Hip-Hop, Best R&B, Best Alternative, Best Country, and Best K-Pop. Other notable nominees include Chris Brown, Eminem ft. Jelly Roll, Mariah Carey, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Summer Walker, SZA, Travis Scott, Wizkid, and Rema.
The 2025 Video Music Awards will also feature performances from top artists and a live broadcast on CBS and MTV, as well as streaming on Paramount+.
