Lakers Top Grizzlies 85-77 Behind Big Three Effort

The Los Angeles Lakers needed a win against the Memphis Grizzlies, and they got it in convincing fashion. The big three of Austin Reaves, LeBron James, and Luka Dončić led the charge with an 85-point performance. The trio’s best game as a unit in quite some time sealed the victory, putting the Lakers ahead by one game in the standings.

Reaves torched Memphis on a bum ankle, scoring 31 points and making all 10 of his free throws. He played tough defense against Jaren Jackson Jr., denying him the ball and ultimately leading to Jackson Jr.’s foul. James had an impressive outing, shooting well from deep and grabbing steals on defense. Dončić was relentless as usual, scoring inside and dishing out nine assists despite struggling with his jumper.

The Lakers’ bench also contributed, with Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent putting up strong performances. Finney-Smith led the bench in minutes played and had a plus-minus of +15, while Vincent scored 15 points in the first half before cooling down slightly after halftime.

With the win, the Lakers can even the season series against the Houston Rockets and gain ground on the current No. 2 seed in the West. The victory is a testament to the team’s ability to come together and execute when it matters most.
