Lamar Jackson Breaks NFL Record with Historic Rushing Performance

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson continued his dominance on the field, breaking Michael Vick’s record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in NFL history. The reigning NFL MVP added 87 yards to his career total, surpassing Vick’s mark of 6,009 yards.

Jackson achieved this milestone with a 48-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, which set up his 1-yard pass to tight end Mark Andrews. The Ravens’ victory over the Houston Texans was a 31-2 Christmas Day blowout.

Jackson broke the record in just 102 games over seven seasons, compared to Vick’s 143 games over 13 years. This impressive feat showcases Jackson’s speed and endurance on the field.

“I’m grateful because that’s a record that’s been there for a long time,” Jackson said about surpassing his idol, Michael Vick. “Michael Vick is one of my favorite players.”

Ravens coach John Harbaugh praised Jackson’s performance, saying, “That kind of speaks for itself.” The Ravens are now just one win away from repeating as AFC North champions.

Jackson’s impressive rushing ability has earned him the respect of his teammates. Ronnie Stanley, the team’s offensive tackle, said, “I’ve never seen someone run the ball like Lamar at quarterback – or honestly any other position.”

Despite being in a celebratory mood, Jackson was focused on the game and didn’t even watch Beyoncé’s halftime show at NRG Stadium.
