Lamar Jackson Sets NFL Record with Historic Performance

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson set an NFL record by finishing with as many or more passing touchdowns (five) as incompletions (four) for the seventh time in his career. The historic performance came in a 35-14 win over the New York Giants, marking the most such games in NFL history.

Jackson completed 21 of 25 passes (84%) for 290 yards, with touchdown passes ranging from 13 to 27 yards. His efficiency and ability to extend plays have been on full display this season, with a career-low 8.4 carries per game.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh praised Jackson’s focus and preparation all season long, stating that he was “locked in” every week. Fellow teammate Roquan Smith described Jackson as “truly special,” highlighting the quarterback’s unique ability to read defenses and make plays from the pocket.

The Ravens’ win over the Giants moved them into a first-place tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4), with a potential division title on the line. For Jackson, the next game against Pittsburgh poses an intriguing challenge, as he has struggled against the team throughout his career.
