The car, registered as “865Q”, was being driven by one of Lando Norris’ friends when it lost control and hit a roadside barrier. The damage appears to be minor, with only cosmetic harm to the rear end.
Experts believe the crash is related to over-ambitious throttle application, which is a common issue for F40 owners. The car’s powerful 3.0-liter V8 engine produces 471 hp and 426 lb-ft of torque, causing it to spin aggressively when pushed too hard.
This incident marks the second reported crash involving an F40 this month, following a service technician’s accident in the UK.
