Las Vegas Raiders’ QB Aidan O’Connell Suffers Fractured Wrist Injury

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll announced that quarterback Aidan O’Connell will be out for six to eight weeks after suffering a fractured right wrist during the team’s preseason finale. O’Connell, who was expected to serve as the backup behind Geno Smith, exited the game in the first half after appearing in two series.

Rookie Cam Miller is likely to see more playing time, but his chances of filling O’Connell’s role remain uncertain. With the regular season approaching fast, the Raiders will need to find alternative options to meet Tuesday’s 53-man roster deadline. The team is set to open the 2025 season in New England on September 7.
