Kimmel quipped that Trump is “moving on Canada like a bitch” and said his economic plan is a “completely crazy idea.” He also compared the stock market downturn to a drug addict going off heroin.
Colbert joked that even Fox News is taking concerns about a recession seriously, but they’re already spinning it as part of the plan.
Meyers mocked Trump’s executive orders, saying he declared March Women’s History Month and added, “women have done a lot for us.” He also wondered if Trump would impose tariffs on Russia, which would make caviar more expensive. The hosts are poking fun at the administration’s handling of the economy, with Colbert joking that they’re trying to rip off a band-aid without getting blood everywhere.
