Late-night hosts Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, and Seth Meyers have taken aim at the infighting within Donald Trump’s base over the Jeffrey Epstein files. The controversy began when US Attorney General Pam Bondi released a statement saying that the Department of Justice found no incriminating client list or credible evidence of blackmail against Epstein.
Colbert mocked the situation by joking about “zombie Epstein” coming for America’s brains, while Stewart noted that Trump supporters are now at odds with each other over the issue. “Maga-world is in open revolt,” Stewart said, as videos showed Trump supporters booing and burning their hats after learning the Epstein files allegedly do not exist.
Meyers also weighed in on the situation, highlighting how Trump supporters were once obsessed with the idea of a secret list, only to have it contradicted by Bondi. “The only two things that held them together were a cult-like devotion to Trump and their conspiracy theories,” Meyers concluded, noting that Maga is now imploding due to its own infighting.
Both Colbert and Stewart criticized Paramount’s settlement with Donald Trump for $16 million, labeling it a “big fat bribe.” The hosts also poked fun at the idea of some Trump supporters believing that Epstein is still alive, joking about “zombie Epstein” taking over America.
