Lauren Sanchez’s wedding gown, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, has been revealed after much anticipation. The high-necked, silk chiffon-covered design features 180 priest buttons and is completed with a traditional tulle-and-lace veil inspired by Sophia Loren in the 1958 film “Houseboat.”
The gown was conceived over dinner with designer Domenico Dolce in New York, where Sanchez discussed her vision for a dress that would evoke a specific moment. The luxury Italian brand has been a personal favorite of Sanchez’s, and she regularly attends its fashion shows.
Sanchez attended the Alta Sartoria couture show in Sardinia last summer, where her son Nikko Gonzalez walked the runway in a Dolce & Gabbana design. The sighting sparked speculation about the involvement of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in Sanchez’s wedding.
In an exclusive interview with Vogue, Sanchez discussed her personal style evolution, which has shifted from more formal suits to bold, strapless gowns. For the Bezos-Sanchez wedding, she opted for a more full-coverage look that deviates from traditional expectations.
Sanchez worked with celebrity stylist Molly Dickson on several of her high-fashion looks, including an Oscar de la Renta custom gown and an embroidered corset dress by Schiaparelli. The styling process allowed Sanchez to express herself while meeting the demands of major public events.
