Leah Remini Claims Scientology Harasses Her and Daughter After 12 Years of Alleged Harassment

Actress and activist Leah Remini claims that the Church of Scientology continues to harass her and her 20-year-old daughter Sofia, despite leaving the organization nearly a decade ago. Remini shared her experience in an interview with Us Weekly, stating that she was initially not afraid to leave but realized the organization’s true capabilities after doing so. She alleged that the Church uses “Scientology front groups” and social media accounts to attack critics, intimidate ex-members, and even target their children.

Remini also claimed that Scientology has been conducting surveillance on her family and using a term from the organization that means to “kill” her. The actress stated that she fears for her daughter’s safety and that the experience is taking a toll on their lives. In response, a Scientology spokesperson denied Remini’s allegations, stating that there is no evidence to support her claims and that she is trying to “monetize her hate campaign” against the organization.

Remini has been vocal in publicly denouncing Scientology since leaving the Church in 2013, penning a memoir and hosting a series of documentaries about her experience. She plans to take the Church to civil court due to what she believes is the government’s failure to protect individuals who leave or speak out against the organization.
