A recently released video by Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser shows a bold new design for the iPhone 17 Air, featuring a thick camera visor with a single lens. The design bears resemblance to that of the Google Pixel lineup since 2021 and provides insight into Apple’s upcoming smartphone lineup.
Prosser explains that the camera bar on the Air device is flush, suggesting it should be consistent across all models, including the Pro. This is not the first time such a design has been tipped; Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station suggested a similar look in December based on supply chain materials.
The video also reveals the iPhone 17 Air will replace the iPhone 16 Plus and is likely to be released this year, possibly as part of Apple’s expected announcements.
Furthermore, the Dynamic Island feature will stick around but with reduced dimensions due to the phone’s thin design. While Prosser’s render is speculative, it may hold clues to Apple’s upcoming designs, following their pattern of releasing new numbered iPhones in September and other announcements throughout the year.
