Lebanon Reports 823 Israeli Violations of Ceasefire Since Agreement Began

Lebanon has reported 15 new breaches of the ceasefire agreement with Israel, bringing the total number of violations to 823 since the agreement came into effect 66 days ago.

The latest breaches occurred in Marjayoun, Bint Jbeil, Hasbaya, and Tyre districts. In these areas, Israeli forces used drones and artillery to target civilians, damaging homes and buildings, and causing injuries to two people in Marjayoun.

Tensions remain high as the Israeli army has overstayed its deadline for withdrawal from southern Lebanon by 60 days. The US has agreed to an extension of the deadline until February 18.

Since the ceasefire began on November 27, at least 26 people have been killed and 221 injured by Israeli gunfire in southern Lebanon. Since Israel’s ongoing conflict with Lebanon began in 2023, at least 4,080 people have been killed and 16,753 injured, including women, children, and health workers.
