In February 2024, the Golden State Warriors had expressed interest in trading for James at the deadline, but James’ representative, Rich Paul, informed the team that he was not interested. However, James has since stated his desire to finish his career with the Lakers, saying he is “happy and been very happy being a Laker.”
The news comes after Doncic was dealt to Los Angeles in a three-team trade on Sunday, sending Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks.
