Lee Clinches First PGA Tour Win at Houston Open

Australia’s Min Woo Lee won his first PGA Tour title with a dramatic victory at the Houston Open, overcoming Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland.

Lee was leading by three shots on 21 under but carded a bogey on the 16th after putting his tee shot into the water. Despite this setback, he managed to secure the win with a final-round 67.

Woodland equalled the course record of 62 and set the clubhouse lead at 19 under, finishing one stroke behind Lee. Scheffler, playing in the penultimate group, had a chance to take the lead but missed a putt for a fifth consecutive birdie.

Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy finished with a six-under-par round of 64, moving to 15 under and securing a solid performance despite an elbow injury.
