Lego’s brick-built Nintendo Game Boy is set to release on October 1st, and according to a reliable source, it will sell for $59.99 when it launches. The set includes 421 pieces, working out to about 14 cents per brick. This price point makes the upcoming set one of the more expensive Nintendo and Lego collaborations.
Compared to other Lego sets, such as the Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi ($129.99) with about 11 cents per brick, or the Medieval Dragon (approximately $8 per brick), the Lego Game Boy seems relatively affordable. However, it is still priced higher than non-themed sets like the blocky Nintendo Entertainment System ($269.99, approximately 10 cents per brick).
The release of the Lego Game Boy follows other upcoming Nintendo releases, including the Switch 2, which will be revealed during a presentation on April 2nd. The exact price and release date for the Switch 2 remain unknown at this time.
