Edwards, 33, returns to title chase after his loss to Belal Muhammad last July. He was initially scheduled to face Jack Della Maddalena but stepped into the bout with Brady (17-1) due to Della Maddalena’s new opponent being a welterweight title shot at UFC 315.
Edwards has an impressive record, holding notable wins over Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, Vicente Luque, Rafael dos Anjos, and Gunnar Nelson. He won the welterweight title in 2022 with a head-kick knockout of Kamaru Usman.
