Lewis Hamilton Requests Changes for Ferrari SF-25 Ahead of Bahrain Test

Lewis Hamilton has submitted fresh requests for changes to his new Ferrari SF-25 car ahead of the start of pre-season testing in Bahrain next week. The seven-time World Champion’s requests are described as ‘relatively minor’ and are expected to be addressed before the three-day test begins.

Hamilton’s debut shakedown at Fiorano earlier this month saw him struggle with the pedals, but Ferrari made adjustments for his second outing in Barcelona. However, despite these changes, Hamilton crashed out of the test, suggesting that further tweaks may be necessary.

In an interview after his first outing with the SF-25, Hamilton expressed his excitement about adapting to the new car and team, despite acknowledging that it is “completely different” from what he’s used to in F1. He praised Ferrari’s engineers for putting in “a lot of work” to meet his request, but also hinted that he may need to make further changes as he continues to explore the car’s limits.

The requests for changes come after Hamilton tested the SF-25 at Fiorano, where he completed around 30 laps before handing over to Leclerc. The Italian driver reportedly pushed from the start, with a fastest lap time marginally ahead of Hamilton’s.
