Lewis Hamilton Vows ‘Really Fun’ Rollercoaster Ride with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton is ready for the challenge of his career as he takes on the prestigious role at Ferrari. The seven-time world champion will look to end a 16-year drought without a team title, which was last won by Michael Schumacher in 2004.

Hamilton believes that stepping out of his comfort zone and adapting to a new team culture is what makes this challenge exciting. He acknowledges that there are no shortcuts to building relationships with the team and understanding their systems. However, he remains confident that he can thrive at Ferrari.

There’s no shortage of examples of successful drivers who have won on debut at Ferrari – Juan Manuel Fangio, Nigel Mansell, Kimi Raikkonen, and Fernando Alonso all achieved this feat. Hamilton will make his debut at the Australian Grand Prix on March 16, but expects it to take time for everything to click into place.

In contrast to his previous team Mercedes, where he won six world championships but struggled in his first year, Hamilton says that getting ready is the biggest challenge ahead of him. It takes time to build trust and understand how an organization works, as well as how to show up for people and get the best out of them.
