LG Unveils Ultra-Small Projectors for Big Screens

LG has announced two new projectors that continue its trend of creating big-screen experiences with ultra-small devices. The CineBeam S and PF600U are the latest additions to the company’s projector lineup, both designed to deliver impressive picture quality despite their compact size.

The CineBeam S is the smallest ultra-short throw 4K projector on the market, weighing just 2.5kg and measuring 110(w) x 160(d) x 160(h)mm. Despite its small size, it can produce images up to 100 inches across from a throw distance of just a few inches. The projector features LG’s RGB laser-powered projection system, delivering 500 ANSI Lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 450,000:1.

The CineBeam S supports HDR10 and HLG playback, as well as standard dynamic range (SDR) content, and can display 154 percent of the DCI-P3 color space used in mastering most HDR content. It also features Auto Screen Adjustment, Wall Color Adjustment, and Screen Scaling/Shifting to make setup easy.

The projector comes with built-in stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos decoding, and LG’s webOS smart system, allowing users to stream movies and TV shows without an external source. The PF600U is similar but has a lower resolution (1920×1080) and brightness rating of 300 ANSI Lumens.

Both projectors are designed for versatility, with the PF600U serving as an LED mood lamp and Bluetooth music speaker in addition to its projector functionality. LG hasn’t announced pricing for these projectors yet, but they’re expected to be released during CES next week.
