LG has introduced its UltraGear gaming line with several new additions, including the world’s first bendable gaming monitor featuring a top-of-the-line 5K2K resolution. The GX9 series includes three models: the 990A, which can transform from flat to a 900R curve in seconds, and two other monitors that offer various features such as OLED technology and smart capabilities.
The most notable model is the 990A, with its 45-inch screen size and 5120 x 2160 resolution. This monitor boasts an innovative design that allows users to switch between resolutions and refresh rates effortlessly. Additionally, it comes equipped with LG’s Dual Mode feature, which enables customizable aspect ratios and picture sizes.
Another notable model is the 950A, a 45-inch curved monitor featuring 5K2K OLED technology and a 800R curvature. This monitor boasts improved readability and accurate visualization for gaming and productivity tasks.
The 39-inch 0SA smart curved monitor also makes its debut in the GX9 series, offering both gaming and content streaming capabilities alongside regular gaming content. All three monitors are certified for low blue light emissions and reduced eye strain, along with an anti-glare and reflection coating that enhances visibility in bright conditions.
With no pricing information disclosed yet, LG plans to reveal more about these monitors at CES 2025, scheduled to take place from January 7-10.
