LG Uplus CEO Hong Beom-sik visited the Samsung Electronics booth at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. He expressed interest in Samsung’s first extended reality headset, ‘Project Infinity,’ noting its name as a sign of potential. When asked about weight distribution and dizziness, Roh Tae-moon, president of Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience (MX), explained that the headset disperses weight towards the forehead for comfort.
Hong was also impressed by the improved display quality and sensor accuracy of Project Infinity. Additionally, he appreciated the AI-powered features that allow external cameras to recognize people and provide real-time updates on pet breeds and activities using smart tags.
Hong noted Samsung’s focus on both humans and animals, highlighting a step ahead in technology. He expressed enthusiasm for Google Gemini and the new ‘Now Brief’ feature in the Galaxy S25 series, as well as the camera’s image eraser function. Following his visit, Hong hinted at potential collaboration with Samsung Electronics.
