Rapper Lil Wayne has announced the release date for his upcoming album ‘Tha Carter VI’, which will drop on June 6. In a promotional campaign featuring dermatologist Dr. Muneed Shah, Lil Wayne is showcasing a sensitive side and emphasizing the power of turning difficult moments into displays of strength.
The ad, titled “We’re All a Lil Sensitive”, shows Lil Wayne using Cetaphil to help people in awkward situations, such as someone with a hefty bar tab or a dad noticing a condom in his daughter’s friend’s wallet. The campaign features multiple Easter eggs referencing the album release date and includes a sign on a door that reads “Do Not Disturb Til’ 06-06-25 CARTER VI”.
According to a Republic Records source, the final scene of the ad is indeed an album date reveal, and fans can pre-order the new album now. Although Lil Wayne won’t be in New Orleans for Super Bowl Sunday, he will appear on television during The Boot, giving him a special connection with his hometown through the campaign.
