“Lilo & Stitch Rides Box Office Wave”

Disney’s live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch has surged to $610 million in worldwide ticket sales, narrowly missing the title of highest-grossing Hollywood release of 2025, currently held by Minecraft Movie with $947 million. The film has grossed $330.7 million internationally and $280.1 million domestically, with top markets including Mexico, the UK, France, and Brazil.

In other box office news, Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and Warner Bros.’ Sinners have both surpassed the $350 million benchmark. The eighth installment of Tom Cruise’s action series has earned $231.1 million overseas and $353.8 million worldwide, while Sinners directed by Ryan Coogler has become a certified smash with $350.1 million globally.

New releases include Sony’s Karate Kid: Legends, which collected $12 million from 43 markets over the weekend, and Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, which added $4.1 million from 41 markets. However, the horror thriller Bring Her Back brought in just $1 million with its debut in eight markets.

It’s worth noting that Minecraft Movie is currently the top-grossing film of 2025, but Lilo & Stitch may eventually surpass it as the year’s highest-earning movie to date.
