Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph will not be named a Pro Bowler this season, according to a report from the Detroit Free Press. Despite being one of the most popular choices among fans, who voted him as one of their top safeties, Joseph fell short in terms of peer support.
Joseph led the NFL with nine interceptions and had the highest PFF grade and coverage grade among all safeties this season. His impressive performance includes 77 tackles, a tackle for loss, 12 passes defended, and a career-high 17 interceptions since entering the league in 2022.
Lions coach Dan Campbell praised Joseph’s performance, saying he “came up big” and made crucial plays in their recent win against the 49ers. However, it appears that the coaches’ votes ultimately decided his fate, as he will not be selected to the Pro Bowl roster.
