Lollapalooza Brings The Heat With A$AP Rocky and Sabrina Carpenter

Lollapalooza wrapped up its fourth and final day in style, drawing massive crowds to Grant Park. Rap legend A$AP Rocky kicked off the weekend with a high-energy performance on the Bud Light stage, performing hits like “Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” and “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)”.

Fans were treated to a theatrical production featuring pyrotechnics, custom changes, and fireworks. However, safety concerns forced at least a dozen young fans to be wheeled out of the venue.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter brought her retro aesthetic to the T-Mobile stage, performing hits from her last two albums and “Manchild”, the single for her upcoming project “Man’s Best Friend”. The crowd went wild for songs like “Taste,” “Feather,” and “Bed Chem”.

Carpenter also showcased her full-blown theatrical production, complete with an elaborate stage set, masterful choreography, video skits, costume changes, props, and fireworks. Her performance was a highlight of the festival, with fans dressing up in pastels and baby doll dresses to show their support.

Other highlights included Rebecca Black’s Resurgence, where she tore up the stage alongside two dancers dressed as missionaries, and a DJ set at the Perry’s stage. She reminisced on her memories at Lollapalooza and performed an EDM rendition of her infamous hit “Friday”.

Local art and artists took center stage with performances by Kaicrewsade and Post Animal. The Chicago indie psych rock band Post Animal played for their hometown, celebrating their latest album “Iron”.

For those looking for a sweet treat, the midway section offered a wide variety of fest food options, including local favorites like Lou Malnati’s and vegan options from Plant Base.

With four fabulous days of Lollapalooza coming to a close, attendees swarmed the streets outside the gates late Sunday to head home.
