Lonzo Ball Agrees to 2-Year Extension with Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls and point guard Lonzo Ball have agreed to a two-year contract extension. The 27-year-old was forced out of the previous two seasons due to multiple injuries, including a cartilage and meniscus transplant in his left knee.

Despite struggling to regain form, Ball has shown improvement this season, averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 assists per game in 30 games played. The Bulls had trade suitors for Ball but decided to keep him, citing his impact on the team’s success as a point guard with high intelligence.

Coach Billy Donovan praised Ball’s journey back from injury, crediting medical staff for their help in getting him back on the court. He also highlighted Ball’s ability to make teammates better with his IQ and playing skills. The extension is seen as a reward for Ball’s perseverance and dedication to returning to form.
