Bethesda’s Skyrim has already proven itself to be a massive open-world game. However, it’s the modders and community creators who keep its content fresh by developing new quests, places to explore, and storylines.
One notable project that was initially scheduled for March release is Lordbound, a fan-made expansion with over 60 hours of original content. The expansion promises 40+ new quests, 50+ dungeons, and an entirely new landmass to discover in the world of Tamriel.
Unfortunately, delays are common when it comes to volunteer-led projects like Lordbound. In a recent update on ModDB, the team announced that they would be unable to meet their original release date due to “volatility” and health issues affecting some team members.
Despite this setback, progress is still being made on Lordbound. The latest updates showcase new creatures designed by the team, which will add fresh content for players to hunt down. Additionally, unique bosses are expected to make an appearance in the expansion.
The team is now seeking voice actors and coders to help bring Lordbound to life before its new launch date of September. For fans eager to dive into this massive project, there’s still plenty to look forward to – including a war brewing in the Druadach Valley, familial mysteries to unravel, and uncharted lands to explore.
