Louvre’s Priceless Crown Jewels Stolen in Brazen Heist

A daring daylight heist targeted France’s iconic crown jewels at the Louvre Museum in Paris, leaving authorities stunned and outraged. Thieves used power tools to break into the museum and stole eight extremely valuable items, including diadems, necklaces, earrings, and brooches from the 19th century.

The gang arrived at 09:30 local time, shortly after the museum opened, with a vehicle-mounted mechanical lift to gain access through a balcony. They used power tools to cut through windows and display cases before threatening guards and making their escape on scooters within four minutes.

French authorities are still searching for four suspects and studying CCTV footage from the escape route. The stolen items include pieces adorned with thousands of diamonds and precious gemstones, worth an estimated “priceless” amount.

While the museum remains closed on Monday, security personnel were seen around the famous glass pyramid entrance, and metal barriers have been put up. No information has been given about when the museum may reopen to the public.
