Ben Mezzenga, a contestant on the reality TV show “Love is Blind,” has spoken out about his experience with fellow competitor Sara Carton, who told him she didn’t want to marry him at the altar. Mezzenga said he’s moved past the heartbreak and attributes it to external factors that occurred after filming ended.
Mezzenga claimed that Carton left him due to differences in their views on social issues, particularly Black Lives Matter and her church’s stance on sexual identity. He acknowledged that these were important topics for Carton and expressed understanding, despite not sharing similar perspectives himself.
Contrary to reports suggesting the pair was only looking for a reality TV marriage, Mezzenga stated they both demonstrated vulnerability throughout their time on the show. Notably, he has taken away a valuable lesson from his experience: the importance of engaging in open conversations about faith and values.
Mezzenga intends to be more intentional in sharing his convictions with others in future relationships, recognizing that his faith is crucial to him.
