A second arrest has been made in connection with vandalism and damage at the Loveland Tesla dealership. Cooper Jo Frederick, 24, of Fort Collins, was taken into custody on Thursday evening based on probable cause obtained through a continued investigation.
According to police, an incendiary device was ignited and thrown at the Tesla building last month, causing significant damage. The incident occurred just after midnight on March 7 when police responded quickly to extinguish the fire.
This is not the first arrest related to the dealership. Lucy Grace Nelson, 40, was arrested in February after being discovered with incendiary devices and materials attributed to vandalism. Police accused her of vandalizing the dealership multiple times, including putting graffiti on the building and vehicles that were offensive and hateful in nature.
The Loveland police department is urging anyone with information about the incidents to come forward by calling their tip line at 970-962-2032 or Larimer County Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868. The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
