Lucid Gravity Review: Electric SUV Sets New Range Standard

Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson is beaming with pride as the company has finalized its 2025 Lucid Gravity SUV, which boasts an impressive EPA-certified range of 450 miles. The vehicle’s dual-motor powertrain delivers 828 horsepower and 909 lb-ft of torque, making it a top contender in the longest-range electric SUV segment.

Rawlinson explained that achieving this impressive range was made possible by a relatively small 120.0-kWh battery pack. This smaller size has knock-on effects on the vehicle’s physical dimensions, handling, and performance. The charging time is under 15 minutes for 200 miles.

During our drive, we were impressed with the Gravity’s smoothness as it traversed coarse pavement, gliding over surfaces as if riding on air. The braking system responds to lifting of the right pedal, allowing drivers to toggle between regenerative and non-regenerative modes.

The helm features a unique “squircle”-shaped wheel and a 34-inch curved display that offers broad visibility. The cockpit has an intuitive design, with multiple ways to perform operations. However, some software issues were present in our prototype.

Despite these minor issues, the Lucid Gravity’s design, comfort, and features are exceptional. The vehicle boasts immense headroom, legroom, and storage capacity, making it suitable for families or those who require ample space.

Production of the 2025 Lucid Gravity began recently, with deliveries expected to start in the first half of next year. Pricing starts at $96,500 for the five-seater Grand Touring model. The company’s familiar Mojave and Tahoe interior themes will be available, alongside new Yosemite and Ojai choices.

The Lucid Gravity is set to pick up where the 10Best-winning Lucid Air sedan leaves off, with some impressive upgrades in tow. As one of the most exciting electric SUVs on the market, it’s clear that Lucid has outdone itself this time around.
