Lucid has unveiled its most adventurous vehicle yet, the Gravity X concept, a family hauler turned off-road beast. This new model boasts an impressive range of up to 450 miles on a single charge and can comfortably fit seven passengers. The Gravity X is designed to take electric exploration to a new level, promising “a bold new concept of electric exploration.”
The concept features a lifted ride height, improved approach and departure angles, and added off-road elements such as all-terrain tires, protective skid plates, and tow hooks. The exterior design has been tweaked to improve ground clearance and visibility, while the interior boasts premium leather seats, high-performance floor mats, and a microsuede steering wheel.
While it’s just a concept for now, the Gravity X gives us a glimpse into a future off-road variant that could compete with Rivian’s California Dune Edition R1S and R1T models. With its focus on adventure-ready capabilities and premium features, it seems likely that Lucid will bring this rugged new model to life in the near future.
As one shareholder expressed concern about Lucid’s slow production ramping, but the Gravity X concept suggests a bold move towards expanding their offerings. The company promises “take on everything” with the Gravity X, making it an exciting addition to their lineup and a potential game-changer for the electric SUV market.
