A car show in Lynchburg, Virginia, is celebrating the life of 19-year-old Cash Gaudio, who was tragically shot and killed in his driveway just months ago. The event, “Gears for Gaudio,” features a collection of cars, including Gaudio’s beloved red 1950s Ford and orange vehicles representing gun violence awareness.
The show was organized by friend Savena Royal as a fundraiser to support the “Live like Cash Gaudio Foundation,” which aims to provide scholarships to student athletes. The event drew hundreds of attendees who gathered to celebrate Gaudio’s love for cars and honor his memory.
Gaudio’s family, including mother Shannon Meyers, attended the show, saying it was a meaningful way to acknowledge their son’s legacy. “It’s wonderful. He would have just been in heaven again if he had been here,” said Linda Wolfe, Cash’s grandmother. The foundation will use all proceeds from the event to support student athletes at local Christian academies.
The community rally around Gaudio’s family, ensuring that his memory lives on through various events and charitable initiatives.
