Mac McClung Wins Third Consecutive Slam Dunk Contest

The Bay Area has witnessed a familiar sight 25 years apart – Matt McClung’s triumphant return to the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest. The Orlando Magic G Leaguer made history by winning the contest for the third straight year, a first in its history.

On his very first attempt, McClung took control of the competition with an impressive reverse dunk over a Kia. He outshone the rest of the field and never relinquished his lead. Despite reaching the final round, Spurs rookie Stephon Castle was unable to catch up.

McClung’s dominance was on full display as he scored all 50s throughout the contest. When asked about his experience, McClung said it felt like a blur but was incredibly enjoyable for him. The G League player credits dunking with unleashing his creativity and passion.

The 2025 participants include Matas Buzelis (Bulls), Stephon Castle (Spurs), Andre Jackson Jr. (Bucks), and Mac McClung, who took home the top prize.
