Mahomes Continues Playoff Streak Against Texans

Patrick Mahomes continues to rise through the NFL’s career playoff passing rankings as he prepares for his team’s matchup against the Texans on Saturday. With a strong resume already established, Mahomes is looking to build on his impressive postseason statistics.

Currently, Mahomes ranks among the top quarterbacks in several categories. He is tied with Joe Montana for the second-most wins by a starting quarterback, just one victory away from Tom Brady’s record of 35. Mahomes’ passer rating of 105.8 makes him the second-best ever among quarterbacks with at least 150 career postseason pass attempts.

Mahomes also has thrown for 41 touchdown passes in the playoffs, which is fifth-most all time. If he throws three more touchdowns against the Texans, he’ll tie Brett Favre for fourth. Additionally, Mahomes has accumulated 5,135 passing yards in the playoffs, placing him eighth all-time. If he reaches 232 yards, he’ll surpass Drew Brees and move into seventh place.

Furthermore, Mahomes is closing in on several other records. He has 456 completions, which is currently ranked eighth all time. With a strong performance against the Texans, he’ll likely pass Joe Montana and set his sights on Drew Brees and Brett Favre, who both have 481 completions. Tom Brady’s record of 1,200 playoff completions remains safe for now.

With another impressive showing, Mahomes will continue to cement his reputation as one of the best playoff quarterbacks in NFL history.
