Maingear, known for its high-performance gaming PCs with custom cooling and automotive paint finishes, has launched the ’90s style Retro95 beige desktop. The new system is a “sleeper build” that combines modern hardware with classic aesthetics, appealing to fans of retro PCs who crave performance without sacrificing style.
The Retro95 features up to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, 96GB DDR5, and 8TB storage. Prices start at $1,599 for the “limited drop” model. Maingear’s CEO, Wallace Santos, explains that the system is designed to honor the classic era of gaming, with a focus on performance and comfort reminiscent of older systems.
The case of the Retro95 is based on SilverStone’s FLP01 horizontal desktop case, which has been customized by Maingear. The system will come equipped with Noctua fans, an 850W PSU, and optional optical drive capabilities. While some may miss the custom liquid cooling options found in other Maingear systems, the Retro95 offers whisper-quiet air cooling for high performance without excessive noise.
Maingear is offering a limited edition of the Retro95, making it a rare opportunity for those who want to own a piece of nostalgic gaming history. The system is available for purchase now, with the option to customize it on Maingear’s website.
