A large fire at a waste disposal centre in Paris sent a plume of black smoke into the air yesterday evening. The blaze, described as “major”, was visible from views of the city’s skyline, with videos showing a large structure engulfed by flames. Emergency responders were quickly on the scene to tackle the fire, which was later reported to have caused no injuries or casualties among those involved.
