Manhattan’s luxury housing market experienced its best week in over three years, with 45 contracts signed for $4 million and above, according to Olshan Realty. The number of deals surpassed the previous record set in December 2021.
Last week’s total sales volume was nearly $1.75 million higher than the same period last year, driven by 12 luxury deals above $10 million. Condominiums outsold co-ops 35 to eight, with two townhouses also selling. Twenty of those condo deals were sponsored properties, including a triplex penthouse and another unit.
The top contract was for a penthouse at 111 West 57th Street, asking $56 million. The condo spans 7,256 square feet across three floors, featuring five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms with Central Park views on each level.
Another notable deal was a Tribeca penthouse at 108 Leonard Street, asking $24.5 million. The triplex has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two powder rooms, and two terraces totaling 2,173 square feet.
