Researchers tracked 253 patients and found that the CDC’s recommended blood test often misses early cases, leaving many without proper treatment or ongoing monitoring. Experts say that timely diagnosis and regular check-ins with healthcare providers can significantly improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden of Lyme disease.
