Marc Marquez Wins Tissot Sprint with Dominant Performance

Marc Marquez won the MotoGP Tissot Sprint race at Circuit of The Americas on Saturday, claiming his third consecutive Sprint win. Riding his Lenovo Team Ducati Desmosedici GP25, Marquez edged out his brother Alex on Michelin control tires to take the 10-lap victory by just 0.795 seconds.

Alex Marquez secured the runner-up spot on his BK8 Gresini Racing Ducati Desmosedici GP24, while teammate Francesco Bagnaia finished third on his Lenovo Team Ducati bike. The top five positions were dominated by Ducatis, with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli claiming fourth and fifth spots.

French sensation Fabio Quartararo crossed the finish line sixth on his Monster Energy Yamaha YZR-M1, while Bagnaia secured third place in the championship standings with 50 points. Marquez leads the championship with 86 points, with Alex Marquez 19 points behind.

In a thrilling opening lap, Marquez and teammate Francesco Bagnaia engaged in a heated battle, but ultimately Marquez took the lead. The six-time MotoGP World Champion maintained his advantage throughout the race, edging out Alex Marquez by just 0.795 seconds at the finish line.

The victory marked Marquez’s 100% win record in the Tissot Sprint series, and sets him up for a strong Sunday in Austin’s Grand Prix. The championship leader will look to extend his lead as he faces off against his rival and teammate Alex Marquez.
