The first weekend of the 2025 women’s NCAA Tournament is wrapping up with Monday’s action in the second round. A total of eight games are scheduled for Monday, featuring top seeds and lower-seeded teams vying for advancement.
Top-ranked Texas and USC will face tougher competition against No. 8 Illinois and No. 9 Mississippi State, respectively. In another matchup, No. 2 UConn is expected to dominate No. 10 South Dakota State, which pulled off an upset win over No. 7 Oklahoma State. The nation’s leading scorer, Ta’Niya Latson of LSU, will finally showcase her abilities after being injured for two seasons.
The second round games will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN2, with streaming options available through March Madness Live, the ESPN app, and Fubo (offering a free trial). Monday’s matchups include:
– Game 1: Michigan State vs. NC State at 12 pm ET
– Game 2: Illinois vs. Texas at 2 pm ET

The winners of these games will advance to the Sweet 16, which will take place next week.
