Mariah Carey on Space Tourism: “I Think I’ve Done Enough”

Mariah Carey recently discussed space tourism during an interview with BBC Radio’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show. She was asked if she would be interested in going to space like fellow music superstar Katy Perry. However, Carey was unsure about the details of Perry’s trip.

Perry traveled aboard Blue Origin’s suborbital space tourism mission in April as part of a well-documented all-female crew. The team included Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe, and Kerianne Flynn.

Carey seemed impressed by Perry’s achievement but declined to join the space travel experience herself. “I think I’ve done enough,” she said matter-of factly, responding to being asked if she’d like to be the next pop star in space.
