Markets Warn of Rising Recession Risk

Wall Street banks are growing increasingly concerned about the prospect of a recession, with market indicators signaling that economic downturn risk has surged to nearly one-third. A recent model by JPMorgan Chase & Co. reveals the market-implied probability of an economic downturn has jumped to 31%, up from 17% in November. Similar indicators at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. show a similar trend, with recession risk now edging closer to 23%.
