Marketside Broccoli Florets Recall Issued Over Listeria Concerns

A precautionary advisory has been issued by Braga Fresh regarding a single production lot of its 12oz Marketside Broccoli Florets. The product, which was set to expire on December 10, 2024, has already passed its expiration date and is no longer available in stores. However, consumers who have frozen the product for later use are advised not to consume it due to the potential risk of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria can cause serious infections, particularly in vulnerable groups such as young children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may experience mild symptoms like fever, headache, nausea, and diarrhea, while pregnant women can face miscarriages and stillbirths.

The affected product was sold in Walmart stores across 18 states, including Alaska, Arizona, California, and others. Consumers are urged to discard any remaining frozen product from the identified lot. To contact Braga Fresh with questions or concerns, call 877-456-7445 (Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm PST) or email [email protected].
